SO THAT'S IT FOR THE CHAPTER.

god it feels good to end a chapter in less than 40 pages. it's just like old times. remember when chapter 1 and 3 were 33 pages? ahh... anyway this is also technically the end of book 2, whenever i get around to printing it. it'll still be a while 'til then, i have a lot of clean up to do and the first one basically JUST came out. but stay tuned.

SO WHAT'D WE LEARN TODAY

• lucy doesn't have any legal records under the name lucy marlowe, and their address on their representative entrant file is fake
• lord dubois and lady fidelia are having an affair. folks it's canon they been doin it
• sylas' mom is bedridden and has a poor relationship with his father. probably because of the affair. among other things.
• sylas' dad is the one encouraging him to go after philomena
• ivy's feelings about her relationship with lucy and thierry are Complicated! and she's afraid of being seen by the seeker stones
• lucy's eye was definitely injured in some way. they have memory loss, and are implied to have once been able to channel magic through a spinel. 
• fidelia is lucy's mother, and had "lost" them years ago. lucy was once named morgan. where've we heard that name before?

on the topic of that name i want to make a statement that morgan is not really a true dead name, even if it belongs to a person lucy no longer is. the circumstances are complicated by lucy being trans nb, but i'm giving you a word of god reassurance that the name change is not connected to them being trans. please use your best judgement when discussing this story development, i'll be keeping an eye on the comments so try to be cool.
